The current Moore Park ANZAC memorial was unveiled on 1 March 2015 by Lieutenant Colonel Mark Stone and local cadets, and was a revamp of the existing garden memorial. More than 500 people turned out to witness the unveiling of a bronze statue of a First World War soldier holding a Lee Enfield rifle.

Prior to this the original Memorial Garden was officially unveiled by Gooburrum Shire Chairman Cr Bill Neubecker on 25 April 1991. The idea had been mooted some years beforehand, however, bicentennial celebrations meant this project was put on hold. Then in 1990 the plan was resurrected and fundraising, planning and construction got under way. The Memorial Garden featured a central flag podium and a commemorative cairn with inscribed plaque.
