Sixteen-year-old Isaiah Howell has travelled to France to deliver a eulogy at the gravesite of his relative, Ernest Pilcher, who died during World War I.

While serving in Gallipoli, Ernest carved a violin from a chocolate box, which features in a photograph kept at the Australian War Memorial.
