The Story of the Great Ocean Road est.1919: A screening experience

19 September 2019 marks the 100th birthday of the Great Ocean Road.

As a part of the centenary celebrations, The Great Ocean Road is running a special event series which shares ‘The Story of the Road’, detailing its construction by World War I returned servicemen and their lives as they built the 243- kilometre road, joining the isolated towns lining the western Victorian coastline.

This half hour documentary tells the story of the Great Ocean Road; the building of the road, the history and the impact it had on the surrounding region.
