This memorial was originally situated in Alexandra Park to allow for commemorative services to be held in the spacious grounds, rather than the confined area around the Bundaberg War Memorial. It was dedicated on 25 April 2008 at the ANZAC Day service. The plaque from this stone was transferred to the RSL Veterans Support Centre on Takalvan Street, Bundaberg which opened on 15 August 2018. ANZAC Day services are currently held at ANZAC Park on Quay Street.
