This Memorial is a tribute and an acknowledgment to those who enlisted or served in the First World War, returned home and in a lot of cases went on to become prominent and well known citizens within the Horsham and Wimmera areas.

Of the 406 known individuals buried in the Cemetery, 68 are in unmarked graves, there are 7 who were also Boer War veterans, 3 nurses and 75 who went on to serve in WW2, as well as a number of decorated soldiers.

There are also 34 personnel who served with other Countries including Great Britain, Canada and New Zealand.
