Honor Roll Description

Marble and bronze honour board manufactured by Wunderlich.

Attached to the bronze board are individual name plates of those who served in the First World War. The honour board features the word ANZAC with a rising sun, wreaths in the upper corners, columns supporting an arch, and 1914 in the lower left corner. The 1919 inscription in the lower right corner is a later addition attached to the honour board with screws.

The honour board was originally installed in the Camp Station (Undulla) School of Arts Hall, and was unveiled 17 October 1917.

'The unveiling of the honour board took place at a social held in the local School of Arts on Wednesday. Mr C. E. Sleeman, after an appropriate speech, performed the ceremony amidst cheers for the soldiers and the singing of the National Anthem' (The Brisbane Courier 22.10.17)

The honour board, along with the School of Arts Hall, was relocated to Meandarra in 1950. The honour board was restored and reinstalled in the Meandarra ANZAC Memorial Museum in 2009.
