Several Honour Boards hang within the Maryborough Military and Colonial Museum

A silky oak honour board lists those from the Maryborough region who served in the Boer War. The lettering on the board is completed in relief also using silky oak timber. There are 36 names recorded and it is interesting to note the many names of European origin and the related individuals. A small dedication plaque at the base of the board recognises the efforts of Ernie Blackwell, 12th November 2005.

Two other honour boards list those who served in World War I (16) and World War II (17). They were originally in the Maryborough & Wide Bay Club. About 2010 the cedar Honour Boards were moved to the Maryborough Military and Colonial Museum and fixed on the western wall of the lower level.

The Museum library contains the stories of all 2694 Queenslanders who served in this war and all their photos, except 161. (20 folders).
