Wreck of Montevideo Maru Found

During April 2023 the wreck of the Montevideo Maru was found off the northwest coast of The Philippines in the South China Sea at a depth of over 4,000 metres. The mission to find the Montevideo Maru was undertaken by the Sydney based not-for-profit organisation, the Silentworld Foundation, with support from the Dutch deep sea survey specialists, Fugro, and the Australian Department of Defence.
