233 names inscribed.

32 fell (not 33).

On the Saturday afternoon of the 17th December 1921, the Adamstown Citizens' Memorial was unveiled in the presence of a large and representative gathering.

Erected at the corner of Glebe and Brunker Roads (Adamstown Public School), Adamstown, New South Wales, this magnificent stone of Bowral trachyte has been inscribed in gold lettering of 233 soldiers who had enlisted from Adamstown, New South Wales, and war workers who had been living in Adamstown during The Great War.

33 are inscribed as “The Honored Dead”, though Mr Northey returned home and is resting at Sandgate Cemetery.

Relocated to its present position on Brunker Road in 1960, plans are underway to relocate to Adamstown Park, hopefully before Anzac Day 2020.
