The Stained Glass windows in our Dining Room were designed by Bernie Bragg.

They were placed in the Club in 1938 to mark the 20th Anniversary of the end of World War One. One window shows a Light Horseman charging out of Constantinople, whilst the second shows a World War One Digger.

Bernard William Patrick Bragg was a 21-year-old draftsman, cartoonist and commercial artist living in Rockhampton, Queensland, when he enlisted in September 1916. He embarked in November 1916 on the "Afric", and disembarked at Plymouth, England. He fought in France from March 1917, and was Mentioned in Dispatches in July 1919. He also designed a medal for the British Expeditionary Forces. He returned to Australia in late 1919.

Bragg took up freelance illustration work, where his paintings and drawings appeared in newspapers, magazines and on film posters during the 1930s, 40s and 50s. Caulfield RSL is luck to have a couple of his paintings. Our Club Magazine - "Furfs" -  from the 1920s and 30s, show his caricature work.
