Three Locations
Town of Bassendean The Bassendean War Memorial has had three locations within the district.
The original site was on the corner of Wilson Street and Perth Road from 1920-1969.
The monument was then moved east on Old Perth Road, in front of the new Council Administration Building in 1970, to enable the Bassendean Memorial Library to be made on its original site, and it was located there until 2014.
In 2015 the monument was re-located to the Bassendean Improvement Committee Reserve (BIC), formerly Hay's Swamp.
