Shire of Nillumbik Memorial to honour 100 years since the First World War
Nillumbik Historical Society IncTo commemorate 100 years since the start of the First World War the Shire of Nillumbik erected a number of memorial cairns at the site of existing war memorials.
At the entrance to Hurstbridge War Memorial Park and Recreation Reserve off Greysharps Road a cairn and information post was installed.
Funding was received through the Anzac Centenary Grants Program for interpretive signage that acknowledges the history of the Hurstbridge Memorial Recreation Park as a memorial to all who served in the First World War.
