The subject for this window comes from John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress. The artist has shown by swamp, thorns and fire the difficulties and hardships Valiant for Truth endured before he came to the Celestial City. His last words are around the border of the window:

"My sword I give to him that shall succeed me in my pilgrimage and my courage to him that can get it. My scars I carry with me, to be a witness for me that I have fought his battles who will be my rewarder. So he passed over and all the trumpets sounded on the other side."

The window was unveiled by Brigadier A S Blackburn, V.C., and dedicated on 9th November 1947.

The gold insignia near the base are for the Royal Australian Navy, Australian Imperial Forces, and Royal Australian Air Force.
