This window depicts the Archangel Michael as a Knight of God, weighing the souls of men in a balance.

Canon Murphy commented: “The evil soul proves to be light as air, inconsistent, fickle, untrustworthy. It cannot weigh against the good soul. The good soul is found to be solid, reliable and consequently heavy in the scale of real value. The dark background suggests bad times - times of testing - such as war.” (March Magazine 1924)

Fred Bassett was a choirman, Sunday School teacher, and an altar server.

John Gordon was a member of the Sunday School and the choir.

The window was unveiled by Hermann K Wendt on 2nd March 1924.

A. M. D. G. and in affectionate memory of Pte. Fred Farmer Bassett 8th reinforcement 50th Batt: A.I.F. died 10th March 1917 aged 22. And of Gunner John Vivian Gordon 11th Light Trench-Mortar Battery 11th Brigade killed in action at Messines 24th June 1917 aged 24. This window is erected by Sunday School scholars and friends in the church and choir.
