The Kyabram Memorial Walkway was unveiled by His Excellency, GENERAL Sir Reginald Dallas Brooks, Governor of Victoria, on 4 October 1952.

The Memorial commemorates 56 men from the area who died on service between 1939 and 1945.

There is a plaque noting the local subscription of 20,000 pounds for the purpose of erecting a War Memorial Hospital.

There are also plaques:

 - in memory of Kyabram and district veterans of the Boer War 1898-1902;

- in memory of those who served in the Vietnam war 1962 - 1973;

- in memory of those who served in the Korea War 1950 - 1952 and in South-East Asia; and

- commemorating the 50th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

There is an individual plaque on the east side of the Walkway commemorating the memory of CPL Leslie Joseph Crilly MM, 2/14 Australian Infantry Battalion.
