It is fitting that the Honor Roll has pride of place in the old school building.
A total of 111 ex-pupils are recorded on the school's Honor Roll for the 1914-18 war. Twenty-two were killed in action and never returned. Many of those who had joined up from the Dunolly area had attended Dunolly School and their patriotism was recognised by the local community who, following the Great War, actively engaged in fundraising to provide a Roll of Honor.
Whilst it is not clear exactly when fundraising commenced we can be confident that plans were already in place before 1923 for in that year there was a proposal, "A worthy Honor Roll is (also) to be placed in position."
In 1923 a total of 103 pounds was raised, a substantial amount for the times and in 1925 it was reported that, "The magnificent honor roll, piano and appropriate pictures speak well for the progressiveness of the H.T. and the committee."
The Honor Roll is still fixed to the wall in the hallway of the old building and its prominent position often leads visitors from near and far to remark on how imposing it is.
