Edwardstown Soldiers' Memorial Recreation Ground History

In 1919 a committee was established to provide a recreation and sporting ground for the local community. Officially opened in 1922, the grounds were named the Edwardstown Soldier’s Memorial Recreation Ground, honouring those from the district who had served. Local RSL cricket and football teams utilised the facilities, as well many social and community groups.
