1451 Private Alexander Joseph Hearn

Born: 1893, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England. Residing at Perry St, Campsie

Enlisted: 16th November 1914, 2nd reinforcements, 4th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Embarked A48, HMAT Seang Bee at Sydney, 11th February 1915 The 4th Battalion landed at Gallipoli on the 25th April, 1915

Wounded in Action at Gallipoli, on the 10th May 1915. Transferred to HT Ludzow, then onto Alexandria and finally to 4th London General Hospital.

Died of wounds received, bullet wound to the chest, on 4th August 1915.

Buried: Newcastle-upon-Tyne (Byker and Heaton) Cemetery
