Appointed to the Moama Volunteer Brigade 15th December 1915. Resigned 1st September 1916. 

Enlisted: 23rd August 1916, 6th Reinforcements, "C" Company, XI Platoon, MG, 60th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Embarked A71 “Nestor” at Melbourne on the 2nd October 1916. Disembarked at Plymouth on the 16th November 1916. 

Killed in Action: 11th March 1918

Buried: Torreken Farm Cemetery No 1, Belgium, Chaplain H. Ward officiated.
