Officially opened at 0800 Tuesday 2nd November 1993 by The Honorable Tim Fischer AO. This is the first large subdivision to commemorate Australians who died in Vietnam.

43 South Australians have had streets named after them to create a living memorial so that their names are remembered on a daily basis. The street signage shows rank, Christian name and surname, date of death and an image of the Long Tan Cross.

An annual service has been held for the last 16 years attended by veterans, local, state and federal representatives, families of veterans and local citizens. It is funded and organised by the City of Salisbury with assistance from Salisbury RSL and Northern Division Vietnam Veterans Association.

This service is also supported by members of 7 RAR, RAAF, Mawson Lakes Primary School and Ingle Farm High School, with average attendances of 300 and 600.

Anyone requiring additional information can contact Fred Pritchard, a 3 RAR Vietnam Veteran, (on 0447 918 915). He was responsible for the development and the concept of the street naming.
