photograph of VX21302 Lance Sergeant (L Sgt) Norman Wiseman, 2/8th Field Company, Royal Australian Engineers. L Sgt Wiseman was reported missing in action on 6 June 1941, while defending Crete against the German land and airborne invasion.

Aged 23, he died on 25 October 1941 as a prisoner of war (POW) in Greece. He was the son of Laban Edwin and Bessie Kate Wiseman, of Sandringham, Vic, and is buried in the Phaleron War Cemetery Section 2, Row E, Plot 13.
