Saving the Yuleba war memorial mural: The art of giving local history a future

An image of an Australian nurse that forms part of Robert Doyle’s mural in Yuleba, west of Brisbane. Professional art conservators have spent a week in August working on the mural to repair damage to the work from it’s nearly 60 years on display inside the Yuleba War Memorial Hall.

As war memorials go, the one in the small town of Yuleba, 400 kilometres west of Brisbane, is something special.
