Meredith War Memorial Obelisk
Meredith AtilemileAccording to my mother whose maternal grandmother was the publican of the Royal Hotel, the Obelisk stood on the south-western corner of the Midland Highway and Staughton Street during the Second World War. It was moved to its current location subsequently, and additional plaques were added commemorating the Second World War.
