The Rev. John Walker, who lost three sons in France in the Great War, conceived the building of a Warriors' Chapel within the church construction.

Anzac Memorial Park dedicated in 1991

Hurstbridge Memorial Park was established in 1991 as a remembrance place for all wars.  It sits at the bottom of Anzac Avenue and has a rock cairn for wreath laying.
